Wireless mesh network technology
The FACS™ Wireless Control System is based on the Time Synchronized Mesh
Protocol (TSMP™ ) developed by Dust Networks™.
TSMP provides the FACS™ system with a number of key features:
- all FACS™ wireless control modules (WCMs) and wireless sensor modules (WSMs)
are mesh nodes, simplifying network commissioning
- WSMs can run on batteries for years, increasing flexibility
- FACS™ wireless devices use frequency hopping, improving reliability and security
- FACS™ wireless devices use TDMA for channel access rather than CSMA, improving reliability
Database technology
Every Federspiel Supervisory Controller (FSC) has a secure, stable, SQL database.
This approach simplifies system integration. We provide system integrators with the correct SQL synatax for our database,
and permissions to access it. Acceptable drivers include ODBC and JDBC.
Web server technology
Every FSC has an Apache web server, which is the most commonly used web server
on the internet. Apache is secure, reliable, efficient, and customizable.
Machine-to-machine (M2M) technology
FSCs and WWGs communicate using XML-RPC.
FSCs communicate with demand response servers using SOAP.
